Manager Portfolio Management

Reports to: Chief Operating Officer

Position Overview The Manager will be responsible for managing investments and lending in microfinance, fintech, and retail banking with a concentration on co-lending and structured finance. Strong analytical skills and stakeholder management skills are critical to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage investments and lending in the microfinance, fintech and NBFC sectors through a financial inclusion lens.
• Source, underwrite, and supervise debt and structured investments with MFIs, fintechs, and retail lenders.
• Business development through credit analysis, operational and financial due diligence, and Investment Memo preparation for internal credit committees.
• Structure and design risk-sharing transactions with MFIs, NBFCs and fintechs, while also considering SECP regulations and risk-sharing structures.
• Knowledge of Pakistan’s fintech ecosystem, including SBP/SECP guidelines, digital lending frameworks, and Regulatory frameworks (EMIs, NBFCs, and so on).
• Engage with legal, compliance, ratings agencies, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution processes and deal monitoring once completed.
• Monitor the regulatory space, including SECP requirements on lending, securitization, and so on.
• Work internally in the areas of financial modeling, risk and investment pipelines.

Education Bachelor’s/Masters degree in Finance, or CA, CFA, or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.

Experience Minimum 5 years of experience in lending, transaction structuring, and corporate finance.
