Job Title: Accounts Officer / Specialist – Coal Mining Industry

Job Overview: We are looking for a professional Accounts Officer/Specialist who is very organized and meticulous to be part of our Finance Department at the Karachi Office within the coal mining sector. The person will be in charge of the daily accounting process, keeping complete and precise financial documentation, assisting audits and ensuring compliance with the company’s financial regulations and policies. The position is very crucial in terms of the financial health and operational transparency of the company.

Responsibilities:

• Keep precise and current financial records, which comprise journals, ledgers, and other accounting papers.
• Handle transactions related to accounts payable and receivable, guaranteeing their timely and accurate recording.
• Carry out reconciliations of financial accounts at intervals to recognize and eliminate discrepancies.
• Supervise and align bank statements, along with other financial accounts.
• Take part in the production of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Handle vendor and internal accounting inquiries.
• Give assistance to the finance department during audits and tax preparation.
• Direct voucher and financial file management.

Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CA-Inter, ACCA, or ICMA part-qualified candidates will be preferred). Over three years of experience in accounting, preferably in the finance department of a medium to large-scale company. Thorough knowledge of IFRS and local (Pak) GAAP, with the power to fairly and rightly record and decode business activities. Very good at spotting mistakes and being precise. Capability to organize and manage time wisely. Good relationships and communication skills.
