Hascol Petroleum Limited is looking for a Manager Taxation based at Head Office, Karachi.

This position is responsible for direct & indirect taxation of the company to the tax authorities.

MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee the e-filing of the company’s sales tax return on a monthly basis to Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Sindh Revenue Board (SBR) and Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA).
• Review the monthly sales tax input & output as reported on the sales tax returns.
• Manage general ledger group to ensure all financial reporting timelines are met.
• Sales tax of the company
• Advise staff on the reporting of sales tax.
• Oversee the monthly e-filing of monthly withholding income tax.
• Prepare quarterly advance tax statement for the company.
• Prepare & filed annual income tax return of the company.
• Advise senior management on tax issues & possible implications of current & future tax legislation.
• Manage existing relationship with tax advisors & tax authorities.
• Review all documents and submit to tax authorities.

EXPERIENCE

• A candidate with 10 to 12 years of relevant experience is preferred, particularly in the Oil and Gas sector.
• A candidate with familiarity with the rules, regulations and processes governing litigation with revenue authorities is essential.
• A candidate will also need to have core financial accounting knowledge and experience retrieving information from legacy records.
