Desktop Support – End User Support Engineer Jobs In Dubai, – United Arab Emirates

Technical Support Overview:

The Desktop Support / End User Support Engineer will be responsible for delivering high-level desk-side technical support across all organizational departments. This role ensures the smooth functioning of IT systems, handling both reactive troubleshooting and proactive maintenance to keep all user devices, software, and network services operating efficiently. The engineer will act as the first line of defense for all technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime and a seamless user experience.

End-User Assistance Duties:

This role requires providing prompt hands-on support to end-users facing hardware, software, and configuration issues. You will diagnose problems, guide users through solutions, and ensure all systems remain updated and fully optimized. The engineer will also provide support for system setups, device installations, and troubleshooting user-level application issues to keep daily operations running smoothly.

System Configuration Responsibilities:

The engineer will manage device imaging, installation of applications, system patching, and configuration of desktops and laptops. A strong focus on accuracy is important to ensure that every machine is configured as per company standards. You will oversee system updates, maintain secure configurations, and ensure every asset complies with organizational IT policies.

Networking and Connectivity Support:

You will perform L1/L2 troubleshooting for network concerns such as connectivity failures, access point issues, and IP conflicts. This role requires a good understanding of network fundamentals and the ability to collaborate with higher-level network teams for escalated issues. Maintaining consistent network stability for end-users is a key responsibility.

O365 Operations and User Management:

The engineer will handle day-to-day O365 administration including user account creation, mailbox configuration, license allocation, and password resets. A solid understanding of Microsoft environments is essential to support mailbox issues, permission management, and synchronization challenges across all devices and platforms within the organization.

Asset Management and Documentation:

This role includes comprehensive asset tracking, maintaining up-to-date inventory, labeling devices, and ensuring accurate records of all IT equipment. You will manage hardware allocation, maintain proper documentation of repairs and system changes, and support asset audits to ensure strong accountability across the IT infrastructure.
