What you gotta bring to the table:

– Real experience in healthcare admin or insurance (no, your cousin’s doctor stories don’t count)
– You actually know what a CT scan is, and radiology lingo doesn’t make you break out in hives
– You understand insurance policies, pre-auth drama, and all those sneaky billing codes
– Bonus points if you’ve got a background in nursing, billing/coding, or just spent too much time in hospitals
– You’ve dealt with patients directly (and survived)
