Position: Senior D&C Quality Manager – EU CF Construction

Yeah, Amazon’s all over Canada—even Saskatchewan, believe it or not. Most of the “big brain” stuff happens in Toronto or Vancouver, but Saskatchewan? It’s kind of Amazon’s secret weapon for getting packages to people who don’t live next to a skyscraper. Regina, Saskatoon—think warehouses, sorting, last-mile delivery. Not exactly Silicon Valley, but hey, without these folks, nobody’s Prime order would show up on time. Jobs here? Pretty hands-on. Warehouse work, sorting, delivery support—the stuff that actually keeps things moving.

So, what’s the gig?

You eat, sleep, and breathe construction quality? Amazon wants you. They’re hunting for a Senior Design & Construction Quality Manager to run the show from Germany, but you’ll be racking up those frequent flyer miles all over the EMEA region (yep, up to half your life is on the road). It’s a big deal—think massive infrastructure, fast-paced upgrades, and you’re the one making sure it all runs smooth, looks good, and gets signed off without drama.

Here’s the rundown:

– You’re the quality guru during Commissioning and Turnover. You see a problem coming? You tweak the game plan.
– You keep tabs on KPIs across a bunch of projects—if things go sideways, you’re the first to know.
– You build testing and commissioning plans that actually mesh with the schedule and budget. No pie-in-the-sky nonsense.
– You audit contractors. If they’re cutting corners, you call them out.
– Teamwork matters. You’re talking to Construction Managers, RME, Ops—making sure handoffs aren’t a mess.
– You do the walkdowns, run the punch list, and, honestly, put out fires before they start.
– If the tech stuff gets messy, you’re on the phone with Engineering and Procurement to squash issues fast.
– You own the safety angle. Commissioning area plans? All covered.
– Your team? You hire ’em, train ’em, lead ’em, and send them home when the dust settles.
– You’re the glue between Construction, Commissioning, Design, and RME—if those teams aren’t talking, nothing works.
– Paperwork, manuals, as-builts, spares—you hand it all over in a neat package.
– You’re not shy about getting vendors/suppliers involved when needed.
– You shout (okay, communicate) the big milestones so nobody gets left behind.
– Meetings? Daily, weekly—whatever keeps people honest and on track.

You’ll need:

– Bachelor’s in engineering, construction management, or something that says “I get how buildings work.”
– Real experience in project management or design/architecture—nothing beats battle scars.
– English and German—fluent, not just tourist-level.
– You’ve worked at warp speed before and didn’t lose your mind.
– And, yeah, you’re cool with living out of a suitcase half the year.

Sound like your kind of chaos? Amazon’s waiting.
