• Crunch the numbers for P&L statements and balance sheets—yeah, I live and breathe those spreadsheets.
• Play banker: juggle loans, interest stuff, repayments, the whole nine yards.
• Deal with that never-ending sales tax and income tax circus—filing, compliance, reports, you name it.
• Babysit those bank LCs (whether it’s sales or purchases), making sure all the paperwork’s tight and nothing’s outta place.
• Dig deep into costing for manufactured products—no, really, I get obsessed with nailing down the true costs.
• Jump into forecasting, budgeting, and all that long-term planning jazz—because, hey, someone’s gotta think ahead.
• Keep cash flow on point, so the business doesn’t wake up to any nasty surprises.
• Watch the numbers like a hawk and toss management insights and recommendations before they even know they need them.
• Make sure we’re playing by the financial rulebook and not doing anything that’ll get us in trouble.
• Regularly wrangle with auditors, tax folks, and banks—sometimes all at once.
